If you want to take in some iconic Oahu culture, drive to the Prince Lot Hula Festival at Iolani Palace on July 21-22. It is the largest non-competitive hula event in all of Hawaii. For the last 41 years, it has honored Prince Lot Kapuãiwa, who brought hula to the forefront of culture in the mid-1800’s. Admission to the palace is free during the festival.
